What Are Fiberglass Pools?
Fiberglass pools are pre-manufactured swimming pools made in a factory in specific sizes and shapes, then transported to the installation site and placed into a prepared excavation. They stand out for their quick installation and lower cost compared to concrete pools, along with high durability and excellent resistance to cracking and corrosion.
Fiberglass pool prices in Saudi Arabia start from 14,000 SAR for small sizes and go up to 55,000 SAR for large sizes. The price includes the shell, filter, pump, lighting fixtures, electrical transformer, and timer.

Site Inspection & Measurement
We visit the site to determine the ideal location and take precise measurements, considering water and electrical connections.
Excavation & Preparation
The site is excavated to the required dimensions with a compacted sand base layer to distribute pressure evenly.
Shell Placement
The fiberglass shell is transported by crane and lowered into the excavation, then precisely leveled to ensure even water distribution.
Connection & Commissioning
The pump, filter, and lighting system are connected. The pool is then filled with water, and the entire system is tested.
Fiberglass Pool Features
Above-ground and semi-inground fiberglass pools
A pre-made shell does not commit you to a full excavation. The same fiberglass shell can be set fully in-ground, semi-inground with part of it standing proud of the ground, or fully above ground — which is usually what people mean when they ask about a ready-made pool with no digging.
The difference is not the shell, it is what supports it. In an in-ground installation the compacted backfill around the shell carries the water pressure from outside and stops the walls bowing. Lift the shell above ground and that support disappears, so a surrounding structure — a retaining wall or a walled concrete base — has to do the same job. The shell does not carry its own water, and that is the point most no-dig write-ups leave out.
The option makes sense in three situations: rocky ground that costs more to excavate than the structure costs to build, a sloped plot where full burial becomes a large earthworks job, or a site that excavation plant simply cannot reach.
What to know before choosing it: an exposed shell gains and loses heat faster than a buried one, because its walls meet air rather than soil — noticeable in a Saudi summer and on winter nights alike. It also needs steps and a safe surround for access. So we will say it plainly: no-dig installation saves time and plant, but it does not always save money, because the surrounding structure can cost as much as the excavation you avoided. We decide which installation suits your site at the survey and price it on that basis.
Fiberglass or concrete?
This is the decision most owners actually stall on, and it is a trade-off rather than a winner.

That last constraint is the one that gets overlooked: the shell arrives whole on a truck and is craned in. A narrow access road or low cables over the lift path ends the decision before it starts. Fiberglass in the Saudi climate
Most of what is published about fiberglass shells is written for temperate climates. These are the differences that actually matter here:
